The National Park Service is collaborating with Casey Trees to plant 250 trees in federal parks and lands managed by National Capital Parks—East to commemorate America's 250th anniversary. The community-driven campaign aims to raise $125,000 for planting and long-term care, with over $54,000 already raised. Plantings will begin in spring 2026, starting with parks on Capitol Hill, and will enhance historic parklands, providing shade, clean air, and beauty.
