Officers responding to lumber yard killing wounded in ambush in Gainesville, Florida

Police in Gainesville, Florida say two officers were ambushed while responding to a fatal shooting. Chief Nelson Moya says the suspect had just killed someone at a nearby lumber yard and was trying to get away when he fired at the officers. The chief said they fired back and killed him. One officer was wounded in the arm and the other in the leg. Both are expected to fully recover. The suspect and the homicide victim have not been identified. Detectives are still investigating the motive behind the fatal shooting at the lumber yard. Moya says the community is not in danger.
