Since Uzbekistan implemented a "open door" visa policy in 2017, the country's tourism industry has experienced a significant upheaval. Arrivals increased from 2.4 million in 2017 to 10.2 million in 2024, and last year's tourism revenue reached $3.5 billion. Despite being a relatively new market, India saw 82,000 tourists in 2024, nearly doubling from 47,000 in 2023.
