OPINION | Leslie Smith Reeves: An appreciation of simple joys

The unseasonably warm weather in late February brought me so much joy. As my husband and I have driven back and forth across the northern part of the state we have anticipated the daffodils blooming -- their yellow popping out in old farmsteads and throughout town has transformed my outlook. I don't know of word other than joyous to describe how the daffodils, sunshine, warmth and now the blooming of the redbuds make me feel.
