The Left kept important positions in a hotly contested election at Jawaharlal Nehru University, but by much smaller margins. After ten years, ABVP achieved significant progress and was appointed joint secretary. ABVP's improved performance was a result of a split in the Left vote as well as changing student demographics, including the impact of CUET admissions.
