In keeping with the Gates Foundation's original goal of giving back to society, Melinda French Gates supports the organization's plan to use its $200 billion endowment on global health by 2045. In order to fight poverty and diseases, the foundation will double its funding. According to French Gates, billionaires have a moral duty to give, with the hope that their contributions will continue to have a positive influence long after the foundation shuts down.
