It is almost asparagus season and green spears are starting to appear in vegetable gardens across our state. Asparagus is a perennial vegetable, which means it comes back year after year, provided it gets the right care. And although growing them takes patience and care, there is nothing like the flavor of asparagus cut fresh from the garden.
