Voters appraise potential assessors

The next Washington County Assessor will be one of two current county employees who also happen to be active Republicans on opposite sides of a divided local GOP. Niki Houser and Stacy Walker laid out their resumes at the Weiser Signal American and Weiser Chamber of Commerce sponsored Meet the Candidate’s forum held at the Vendome Events Center on Thursday, April 9. The pair hope to replace current Assessor Debbie Moxley-Potter, who has opted to step down at the end of her term.
