In October 2025, the city said a condemned property at 1150 Laurel Lane in San Luis Obispo had not been repaired and numerous safety concerns were present, leading it to post notices on a door declaring the property unsafe to occupy. The building was home to Bang the Drum Brewery and SLO City Church.
